What's the best way to get to Grand Hôtel Wiesler?

It depends on where you're coming from. We've put together a travel plan Google Maps, otherwise we recommend Google Maps. Our address is Grieskai 4-8, 8020 Graz. Once you're in Graz, we're pretty hard to miss.

How do you get to the hotel, or from the hotel to the airport or railway station by public transport?

The best way to get to and from the airport is by bus 630/631. Get off at "Griesplatz" and walk along Griesgasse all the way to the end. Cross the street at the intersection of Griesgasse and Belgiergasse. Walk past Mangolds restaurant and take the first right onto Igelgasse. Then take an immediate left, and you'll be right in front of our hotel. The bus schedule is here, by the way. We're an easy tram ride from Graz Main Station on lines 1, 3, 6 and 7. The Südtirolerplatz/Kunsthaus stop is just 70 steps or so from the hotel.

Where is the hotel car park and can I reserve a parking space?

Our underground garage is at Griesgasse 10, which is conveniently located right behind our hotel. You can pick up a ticket from the hotel reception before parking. We don't have any influence on the availability of spaces, unfortunately. The garage is available for public use, and we can't offer reservations.

So I just drive around to the back of the hotel to find the garage?

Basically, yes. It's best to stop in front of the hotel first to drop off your luggage and pick up a garage ticket from the reception. Then drive up to the light, turn right and then right again. The garage will be on your left, directly across from Mangolds restaurant. Insider tip: If you go too far, do not use the pedestrian zone to make a U-turn. You'll be caught by the traffic camera, and violations are expensive. Instead, it's best to just use the rear entrance.

How much does parking cost?

The regular ticket price is €27.00/day. Parking tickets are available at the reception. For discount tickets (€18/day) please check our direct booking advantages! For detailed information go to "service".

Do you offer a valet service?

You know your car best, and we'd rather not. The public parking garage for our guests is just a few minutes walk from our hotel.

I want to keep up with my Instagram feed while I'm at the hotel. What does the internet situation look like?

Of course free WLAN is available throughout the hotel. Ask our reception employees for the name of the network and the password – and for the most important hashtags for your stay in Graz.

How much does it cost per night for an additional bed for a child?

Children age 0 to 2.99: EUR 12 for the baby cot including breakfast. Children age 3 to 13.99: EUR 50 plus EUR 12,50 for breakfast. Children 14 and up: EUR 70 plus EUR 25 for breakfast person and night.

I'd like to bring my dog to the Grand Hôtel Wiesler. Is that okay? How much would that cost?

Yes, we allow pets. And we're happy to give them a little scratch behind the ears for free. There is a charge of EUR 18 per night (excluding food) for your four-legged friend. Please note that out of consideration towards our other guests, your pet may only come with you to breakfast, or to the restaurant, if it is on its very best behaviour.

My shirts had a rough journey. They're all rumpled, and I got a stain on a sportscoat. Help!

Never fear! Grand Hôtel Wiesler has access to a laundry and ironing service Monday through Saturday. Just let the reception know what you need. A reliable external laundry service will take care of everything for you.

I can't wait to relax. Does the hotel have a wellness area, and what is available there?

Our oasis is perfect for relaxation and includes a sauna, outdoor area, workout equipment and an Arabian tea room. The oasis is open daily from 7 am to 9 pm. The sauna is open upon request. If you'd like to use the wellness area outside of these hours, just let the reception know ahead of time. Bathrobes and towels are available.

I'd like to book a smoking room. Is that possible?

All of our rooms and suites are non-smoking. For your well-being and ours.

Cross your heart: how many A-listers have stayed at the Grand Hôtel Wiesler?

A lot! Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Rolling Stones, everyone in Austria's cabaret scene, including Alfred Dorfer, Florian Scheuba, Josef Hader, Andreas Vitasek, Gernot & Niavarani, Stermann & Grissemann, and Robert Palfrader. Musicians who have stayed with us include David Guetta, rapper Sido, Falco, Ludwig Hirsch, Konstantin Wecker, Rebekka Bakken and Marianne Faithfull. Other prominent guests have included the princess of Thailand and her entourage, Arab oil sheiks, top footballers like Galatasaray Istanbul and Japan's national team, opera stars like Cecilia Bartoli, former Austrian president Heinz Fischer and other high-level politicians, actors like Klaus Maria Brandauer, and many other creative minds. Why did the hotel give up its stars?

Our guests are more important to us than lists of criteria to be met. We want to have the freedom to be and to do what makes us and our guests happy. We don't think we need any stars for that.

Is it possible to reserve a room without a credit card or credit card guarantee?

In principle, yes. However, we reserve the right to cancel bookings without a credit card guarantee from 6 p.m. onwards the day before arrival. To keep your room please contact our reservations department under +43 (0) 316 7066 - 400 or send a mail to reservations@grandhotelwiesler.com We generally require a credit card on busy days, such as New Year's Eve. Or you have the option of securing a room by paying in advance. We only need your credit card to guarantee your reservation. Your card will not be charged when you book your room. You will only be billed once you check out, or if you cancel after the cancellation deadline or fail to arrive as scheduled.

When can I check in? And how late can I check out?

You can check in at 2 pm on the day you arrive. Checkout is at noon. If you'd like to spend a bit more time with us, we do offer late checkout for a charge of EUR 20 to check out by 2 pm or EUR 30 to check out by 4 pm.

What does breakfast look like?

It's excellent! We serve breakfast daily between 6:30 am and 11 am (on weekends even until 1 pm), and we offer almost anything you can imagine.

Is there a restaurant in the hotel?

Yes, "Salon Marie | Restaurant & Bar" has its focus on pure culinary enjoyment in a chic yet comfortable atmosphere. With international dishes and prime drinks at our wonderful high-class bar. The opening times are from Tuesday to Saturday from 5 p.m. with warm kitchen until 10:30 p.m. (excluding public holidays). Table reservation recommended.

Which services are included in my stay?

During a stay at the Grand Hôtel Wiesler we offer our guests the following free services: newspapers at breakfast, WiFi, access to the oasis, a water bottle in the room, the use of our Polaroid camera for souvenirs, books to read in selected rooms, a city map and use of umbrellas.

I arrive in the middle of the night - how do I get into my room?

Our team at the reception is available 24 hours a day.

I would like to have a meeting in this beautiful hotel ... is that possible?
